OVERVIEW |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Today, Parker Ranch includes the Parker
Ranch Museum & Visitor Center, which
provides an informative introduction to the
ranch and its history. Learn about the
Parkers of 100 years ago, and how the
island's paniolo ranchers affected the
community of Kamuela/Waimea. Watch a short
but informative film or learn about the
restored homes on the ranch.
The store inside the museum sells paniolo
clothing, books, souvenirs and more. Antique
ranching tools, historic photos and a video
are among the museum’s highlights.

DIRECTIONS |
|
| |
|
|
| |
Parker
Ranch surrounds the town of Waimea/Kamuela
and spans thousands of acres between the
great volcanoes of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea
towards the Pacific.
It is minutes from the tiny Kamuela Airport
which offers scheduled service from other
islands. Parker Ranch is accessible by road
from many directions.
From the Kohala Coast, take Queen Ka`ahumanu
Highway (19) north. At the juncture of
Highways 19 and 270, turn right, which
remains Highway 19, east towards Waimea. The
Museum and store is located in the Parker
Ranch Center. |
