OVERVIEW |

Located at about 6,00 feet, in the saddle
between Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea, this trail
runs through a crazy quilt of old native
forest, emerging forest, and grassland, all
streaked with lava flows of various ages. A
variety of rare native birds can be seen and
heard along the way. If you bring a
flashlight, and your not claustrophobic,
there's a lava tube to explore......... |
