Directions:
From Hilo, take Hwy.11 south to the
intersection of Hwy. 130, which
bears left at Keaau. At Pahoa, bear
slightly left on Hwy. 132.
Immediately after passing the
entrance to Lava Tree State
Monument, watch for Pahoa-Pohoiki
Road to the right. Follow this road
to the coast. On Hwy. 137 turn right
and proceed 2 miles to the park.
From Kona: If coming from Naalehu,
turn right onto Hwy. 130 at Keaau,
about 8 miles past Mountain View,
then follow the directions above; if
coming via Waimea, drive to Hilo and
follow directions from there. |

Low cliffed, wild volcanic coastline with
picnicking and tent camping in a ironwood
grove. Good shore fishing. Old Hawaiian
coastal trail traverses the park.
This 13-acre park shaded by ironwoods is
good for picnicking. You can't swim here due
to the rocky shore and waves, but it is a
pretty place.
Low-cliffed, wild volcanic coastline with

drinking water.
