The 4-Star Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa
is a beautiful property located on an
ancient lava flow that became part of
Keauhou Bay. The Resort has just finished a
$70 million renovation and in the process
has created an unforgettable experience for
their guests. From the open-air spa
featuring traditional Hawaiian treatments to
their very authentic luau, they have
combined the rich culture of the past with
the elegance that Sheraton brings to all
their properties.
Activities abound, starting with the Kona
Country Club Golf Course adjacent to Keauhou
Bay Resort. There is the beautiful Spa
Keauhou, an open-air delight for pure
pampering, as well as a fitness center. Then
there is the unbelievable Manta Ray Pool,
featuring multi-level pools with waterfalls,
bridges, whirlpool spas, hidden grottoes and
a thrilling 200 foot-long lava tube water
slide. Perhaps leaving the best for last,
there is the Manta Ray, whose traditional
feeding grounds were in the bay. Their
strange appearance is mysterious, yet
hauntingly beautiful as they glide through
the clear ocean water near sunset to return
to Keauhou Bay. Guest will be able to
observe them from their lanais and special
viewing areas on the grounds. For a fee,
guests can take a nighttime Scuba or snorkel
dive with the Manta Experience, up close and
personal.
