Overlooking spectacular Kailua Bay on the
Kona Coast, the full service 3-Star Royal
Kona Resort is not only rich in tradition,
but ideally located in the heart of
Kailua-Kona. With its stunning architecture
and authentic Hawaiian ambiance, the resort
manages to capture the warmth and charm that
is so often associated with Hawaii. The
landscaping, pool furniture, lobby furniture
and private lagoon and beach area were
recently renovated. The hotel is completely
nonsmoking with designated smoking areas
outside.
The resort's oceanfront, split level pool
includes a shallow children's pool and is
located adjacent to the Windjammer Lounge,
which offers poolside cocktail service and
snacks daily. The private sandy beach and
sheltered, saltwater lagoon provides a
wonderful safe place for swimming, sun
tanning and great snorkeling. The resort is
also home to the Lotus Center Massage and
Spa, offering a full array of both Eastern
and Western spa techniques. If tennis is
your game, check out the Royal Kona Tennis
Club featuring four Latexite courts, three
of which are lighted for night play.
The resort also is home to a full range of
casual and fine dining amid an open-air
oceanfront setting overlooking Kailua Bay.
Don the Beachcomber Restaurant is their
newest restaurant, set right on the water's
edge, serving breakfast and dinner.
Featuring Pacific-Rim cuisine during the
dinner hours, the restaurant also serves a
popular breakfast buffet with children 11
years and younger free when accompanied by a
paying resort guest. The open-air setting is
truly beautiful.
The Windjammer Lounge features Hawaiian
specialty drinks overlooking the waters of
Kailua Bay. There is a big screen TV,
dancing and entertainment as well as lunch
served daily. An authentic luau is held on
select evenings throughout the week in the
resorts Coconut Grove area. Feast on island
cuisine and experience the music and dance
of the South Pacific as well as stunning
sunsets.
The Royal Kona Resort is a wonderful
property. It has an ambiance throughout that
