historic Banyan Drive, the very affordable
2-star Hilo Seaside is a good hotel for

the east side of the Big Island. Family

service and warm aloha spirit. Property

a restaurants, complimentary parking and

One of the oldest towns in Hawaii is Hilo,
which is a quick 5 minute drive from the
hotel. The town has recently gone through a
resurgence with many of the old buildings
renovated and turned into quaint cafes,
shops and restaurants - well worth a stroll
through. While in the area, check out the
famous Big Island Candies, a must stop for
locals visiting from the other islands.
Besides the Coconut Grill in the hotel
serving international cuisine in a casual
atmosphere with very reasonable prices,
there are quite a few good restaurants in
the town of Hilo. Also check out the
Farmer's Market, the largest in the state,
that offers many food items to take home as
gifts.
The Hilo Seaside is a very basic budget
hotel but it is ideally situated to take
advantage of all the things to see and do,
including a continuously active volcano
since 1983, only about 45 minutes away. This
is a perfect hotel for families, offering a
great deal of personal service and true
aloha spirit at very reasonable prices. |
